Hyundai Half Marathon

Starting from the Vasco de Gama Bridge at 10:30. The Hyundai Portugal Half Marathon is one of the most popular races in Portugal, with over 18.000 runners

Running into the streets of Lisbon, this race has a very nice course and is a great opportunity for everyone who would like to visit Lisbon, mainly this new area (where happened the EXPO'98), which is in nowadays devoted to social events (music concerts, walk and bike tours near the river Tagus.

The 21km course, takes the Hyundai Half Marathon runners from the north area of the city to downtown Lisbon, crossing emblematic historical monuments and river side views.

Water, sports drinks, fruits, from km 5 (2.5 km and every 2.5 km) and after the Finish Line. Checkpoints There will be checkpoint areas for the runners, being disqualified any athlete who: Isn’t properly registered; Does not wear the assigned race number Does not complete the full course. 

The finish line is installed in the Square: (Praça do Comercio).

  • To participate:

    All the participants must be born in 2004 or before will to be admitted. The Marathon is a race open to every athlete .
    Neither Bicycles, skates nor others wheeling vehicles will be not permitted on the course race, except wheelchair that have a special ranking, or the official vehicles.

    The participation in this international event is under your own entire responsibility and risk. The race registration is strict personal and intransmissible. It will not be able to modify the date of birth nor to give the bib to another competitor or to fold it, under risk to be disqualified

     

    REGISTRATION

- Bib Number: all packages will be given in the Expo, Parque das Nações ( Seaside, Sala Tejo Altice Arena ), between 3 and 5 of october, from 10.00am to 08.00pm, only under presentation either a document proving the payment of your entry fee or the e-letter you have received after your registration online with your I.D.
Absolutely no bib numbers will be available for pick up on race day, Sunday, october 08.
YOUR BIB NUMBER PICK-UP CARD AND A PHOTO I.D. ARE REQUIRED TO PICK UP YOUR BIB NUMBER!
Complete instructions, safety pins, will be enclosed with your bib number.

 - To ensure that the streets will reopen to traffic in the hours, the time limit for the completion of the Hyundai Half Marathon is 03:00. This limit will be strictly respected. Participants must keep a pace that will respect the time limit for completion of your run or walk. The time limit starts when the last participant crosses the start line.

 - Cancellations

Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are not transferable. We're sorry, but we cannot admit exceptions. If you cannot participate, you may not sell your registration. You cannot transfer your registration to next year's event, nor for future events.

 - Transports to the Start Line - Vasco de Gama Bridge

 - Only buses provided by the organization will allow you access to the START line.
These buses are free of charge and will get the athletes to the Start Line between 7h30 a.m. and 9h00 a.m. They will depart from the Avenida D. João II, between the "Gare do Oriente" train station and the Shopping Center "VASCO DA GAMA"

 - To go to the "EXPO'98 - Parque das Nações" area, the athletes will be able to use the subway, the trains and the buses around Lisbon for free, as long as they wear their race-numbers.
