The organization will keep the race packets which weren't picked up for 15 days after the event.
To claim your race packet, you should get in touch with us.
If you don't claim your race packet after the established period, it will be donated to a social institution.
The finishers' race packets will only be available for the runners that cross the finish line.
The use of the bib number is mandatory in the Half Marathon 21.1K, in the Cascais 10K Race, in the Cascais 5K Race and in the Kid's race.
The use of your official bib number must be placed in the t-shirt's front, using the provided pins.
The bib number is personal and non-transferable.
The organization will disqualify all runners that:
Athletes without a bib number will not be allowed to circulate on the course and will not have access to the sponsors gifts.
The organization guarantees a personalized bib number to all athletes who make their registration and respective payment until January 26, 2025.
The organization guarantees to all registered, who collect their race bib, a timing system through a chip that is coded for the athlete, being personal and non-transferable. All athletes must use the chip provided in the race packet located on the back of the race bib and which cannot be removed or removed.
The chip reading will only occur if the race bib is placed correctly. If the chip is taken off or removed by the athlete, the athlete will not be classified.
The chip is disposable and will not have to be returned at the end of the race.
The organization is not responsible for the failure to present results in case of incorrect placement of the chip.

The first three men and women to reach the finish lines of Half Marathon (21.1 km) and 10K Race of Cascais (only the general classification will be taken into account) will receive a trophy and a basket of BIO products, offered by LIDL.
A medal will be awarded to all participants who cross the Half Marathon 21.1K and Cascais 10K finish lines, among other offers from sponsors.
All participants in the Children's Race will receive an event gift, among other offers from sponsors.
An electronic certificate of participation will be available for download on the event website for all athletes.
Everyone can be part of this race, regardless of their nationality or sex, as long as they are registered and have accepted our terms and policy.
In the Half Marathon 21.1K and in the Cascais 10K Race, athletes under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate.
In the Cascais 5K Race everyone can be part of this race, regardless of their age.
The Kids’s Race is open to athletes born between 2012 and 2020.
For the safety of all participants, people riding bicycles, animals, skateboards and rollerblades will not be allowed to participate. The organization does not advise participation in baby wheelchair.
The participation of athletes in wheelchair is allowed and must obey the general rules of this regulation.

On the race day, participants must carry an ID (Identity Card, Citizen Card or Driving License) stating their date of birth.
The start of the Half Marathon 21.1 Km will be divided into waves that correspond to the athletes' levels of physical preparedness.
As a reference, it should be used the time obtained in a half-marathon enrolled in the last two years.

To gain access to the ELITE, SUB 1h25, SUB 1h40 and SUB 1h50, it is mandatory to present a record of less than or equal to 1h14, 1h25, 1h40 or 1h50, respectively, performed in a half-marathon enrolled in the last two years.
The start of the 10 km Cascais race will be divided into waves. These waves correspond to the athletes’ levels of physical preparedness. As a reference, athletes should use their time from a race of at least 10 km completed within the past two years.

To gain access to the ELITE, SUB45, SUB50 and SUB60, it is mandatory to present a record of less than or equal to 37:30, 45, 50 or 60 minutes, respectively, performed in a 10K race enrolled in the last two years.
The proof of enrollment must be sent to info@meiamaratonadecascais.pt with the indication of the bib number and name of the athlete, until January 26, 2025.
All athletes who register after the January 26, 2025 will have a period of three days after registration to send a proof of time to change the starting block. If this procedure is not made within this period, the starting block will not be changed.
The organization is committed to choose the best course, so that runners safety is guaranteed. However, it is not responsible for the pavement condition or obstacles that may appear during the course. The course is approved by the official public entities.
The organization will disqualify runners who:
HMS Sports won't accept runners who have an unsporting behavior in its future races.
The organization provides the cloakroom service to all participants of the race day.
The cloakroom service is open from 08:00 am to 1:00 pm at Cascais Bay.
The organization will also provide a Bike Park for all participants at Cascais Bay, which will be open between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm.
The organization is not responsible for any object, equipment, etc., left in the cloakroom and for any loss or damage of materials that may participants may suffer while participating in the event.
The police forces will be responsible for managing, planning, controlling and eliminating unauthorized traffic during the competitions, as well as guaranteeing the safety of the participants.
Car traffic will be off, along the entire length of the course, with the advance notice stipulated by the competent authorities. The reopening of car traffic will take place three hours after the race starts.
The organization of the event will provide the participants of the Half Marathon 21.1K, Cascais 10K Race, Cascais 5K Race and Kids’s Race with medical support and emergency ambulances during the course, start and finish of the races.
If there is a need for continuity of emergency medical care, it will be carried out at the National Health Service, under its responsibility.
The medical team will have the authority to remove from the Half Marathon 21.1K, Cascais 10K Race and Cascais 5K Race any athlete who is not fit to participate or who has received vital medical care during the race.
Complaints must be made in accordance with the rules of the World Athletics (WA) and the Portuguese Athletics Federation (FPA), adding a €50 fee to the complaint file. This amount will be deposited until the complaint is solved. The amount will be refunded if the complaint is justified.
Any complaint must be filed in writing using an official paper provided by the organization and until the end of the event.
When registering, all participants accept this regulations and, in case of doubt or a situation not included in it, they must inform the organization.
Upon registration, all participants agree to accept this Regulations.

The processing of data for communication about the event in which it subscribes, communication of other events and services of HMS Sports Consulting and communication of partners HMS Sports Consulting is optional and is subject to specific consent and expressed in the event registration form, always in accordance with Directive 95/46/EC of April 27th, 2016.
Participants are guaranteed, under the terms of the same law, access to their data, and may request in writing from the organization to update, correct or delete it.
The personal data collected in connection with this event will be stored for a period of two years and are accessible free of charge for consultation, rectification or deletion by email: geral@hmssports.pt
Participants must meet the conditions of health necessary for the practice of sports. Upon enrollment they assume that they feel physically and psychologically prepared for the physical effort inherent in the race in which they will participate.
All participants, without exception, must meet the conditions of health necessary to practice sports, exempting the organization of the race, its partners, supporters and public bodies involved from any responsibilities.
The event organisers provide participants with personal accident insurance, as stipulated in official document no. CR/7/2013 (AAL Sports Insurance – Season 2013/2014), covering death or permanent disability up to €31,672.04, treatment costs up to €5,067.53, and funeral expenses up to €2,533.76.

The organization is not responsible for any situations that are not covered by this insurance policy.
The organization does not accept the return of the registration fee.
However, until February 3, 2025, the athlete may assign his/her race bib and chip to another person as long as formally request this change by writing to the organization. If the participant does not inform the organization of such situation, the organization will not be responsible for any accident or damage that may occur.
The organization only guarantees personalized race bib to those athletes who exchange the registration until January, 26th.
By taking part in Half Marathon 21.1K, runners unconditionally authorize that HMS Sports Consulting, Cascais City Council and CCCDPM CASCAIS use their image. All image rights - photos or filming - regarding his/hers participation in the event belong to HMS Sports. All images may be used by the organization for promoting purposes and are free of charge.
The HMS Sports Consulting, the Centro de Cultura e Desporto do Pessoal do Município de Cascais (Culture and Sports Center for the Staff of the Municipality of Cascais) and Município de Cascais (Municipality of Cascais) reserves the right to use the database with runner's personal data, collected through the registration form for promotional activities.
Runners are able to refuse the use of their personal data in registration form by choosing the option "Deny authorization".
The organization reserves the right to change the scheduled programe or to cancel the event due to natural disasters, for safety considerations or if required to do so by official orders. In such cases, the promoter shall not be liable to compensate participants for any losses incurred.
In these cases, the organization reserves the right, within 30 days of the date scheduled for the event, to issue an opinion on the actions to be taken as a result of the seriousness of the cancellation.
These Terms & Conditions of use of this website are subject to Portuguese legislation in force at the time.
Any conflict or divergence of interpretation will be submitted to the competent territorial court. If the User resides outside Portugal, the Portuguese courts are hereby agreed to be competent.
